October

October has been a very busy month. We have a new helper chart and everyone is anxious to volunteer. We take turns putting our name cards into the helper pockets. Ask me what each pocket represents!

Our theme this month is "Halloween". Craft projects include Jack-o-lantern men, pasta skeletons, foam ghosts, and lots more. We have been reading fun books about Halloween spooks. We will be having a Halloween party on the 30th. Come dressed in your favorite costume & be ready to have lots of fun! There will be no school on the 31st.




We have been talking about fall and what happens this time of year with nature. We went on a nature walk and collected lots of fun things along the way. We looked at the different leaves and how they are turning colors. When we were done, we looked at our collections under magnifying glasses. Then we glued our collections onto heavy cardboard and made some neat nature collages.
